These courses are designed to challenge students and prepare them for success in higher education. AP subjects range from mathematics, science, and history to literature and foreign language, and are widely accepted by colleges and universities across the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">At the conclusion of each AP course, students may take an AP exam, typically administered in May <span class=\"a_GcMg\">(please see\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"a_GcMg\" draggable=\"false\" href=\"https:\/\/yimm.my.canva.site\/chs-ap-program\/#page-5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">exam schedule<\/a><span class=\"a_GcMg\">\u00a0for dates)<\/span>. Exams include multiple-choice questions and free-response sections that measure students\u2019 understanding of the material. AP exam scores are reported on a scale of 1 to 5, with most institutions granting credit for scores of 3 or higher.
