This diverse career cluster prepares learners for careers in planning, managing, and performing marketing activities to reach organization objectives. Management and Entrepreneurs direct the operations of businesses and corporations.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals coordinate and implement marketing strategies, advertising, promotion sales and public relations activities; design new products; predict trends and buying behavior; and provide excellent customer service. Students in the Marketing Pathway also manage and operate the two School-Based Enterprises the\u00a0<strong><em>Snack Shack<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong><em>War Eagle Exchange<\/em><\/strong>. Marketing students also have the opportunity to be a member of Career Tech Student Organization DECA.<\/p>\n<p>DECA\u2019s\u00a0<strong>MISSION\u00a0<\/strong>is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. DECA enhances the preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, applying learning in the context of business, connecting to business and the community and promoting competition. Our student members leverage their DECA experience to become academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders.
