The Chestatee High Band traveled this past weekend to Richmond Hill High School to compete in the South Georgia Marching Band Championships. Below are their placements and accolades:

Drum Major - 2nd Place Colorguard - 1st Place (class AAA champion) Percussion - 1st Place (class AAA champion) Overall Band - 1st Place (class AAA champion)
Silver Division Awards and Placements:
High Music Performance Award High Visual Performance Award High General Effect Award Most Outstanding Colorguard (1st in division) Most Outstanding Percussion (1st in division)
Silver Division Grand Champion (1st in classes A - AAA)
Overall Placements out of the entire competition (regardless of class):
Drum Majors - 5th in the entire competition with a score of 93.5 Colorguard - 4th in the entire completion with a score of 86. 6 Percussion - 3rd in the entire competition with a score of 91 Overall band - 3rd in the entire competition with a score of 92.1
These students have worked extremely hard this season and battled some pretty extreme hurdles over the course of the season. If you see them please congratulate them as they have represented this school and this community to the highest level.

Ms. Fifer’s marketing students are drawing a Marketing Mix discovery diagram (with the five points of marketing). Students are learning how different products are marketed differently across different markets and industries.

Ms. McColman’s 1st and 7th period spent the day outside working on their “Morrie Characterization Project” for their Tuesdays with Morrie class book! They had to trace the outline of their group member to make a life-size diagram of Morrie!
