Architecture & Construction The Architecture and Construction career cluster prepares learners for career in designing, planning, managing, building and maintaining the environment. People employed in this cluster work on new structures, restorations, additions, alterations and repairs.
There are thousands of challenging educational and training opportunities within the highly-skilled work of Architecture and Construction. Learners need a solid background in math, science and technical skills.
Construction has three levels to complete the pathway. Through this pathway, students will develop basic knowledge to function safely on or around a construction site and in the industry in general. Courses will provide knowledge and skills of the care and safe use of hand and power tools and the differentiation between blueprints as related to each individual craft area.
Also provides skills in various kinds of roof systems, layout and cutting types of roof rafters; installing exterior doors and windows; and code requirements of building a house.
